Washington State New Reporting Requirements for Gas Pipelines

Starting March 15, 2021, gas pipeline operators will be required to file an annual report with Washington’s State Department of Ecology. The reporting requirements include information about the number and size of gas leaks, pipeline repair activities, and the scheduling of future pipeline repairs. The information reported will be included in the estimated volume of the State’s greenhouse gas emissions.
