Position Summary
The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will work with the Integrity Management team to assist customers in developing and maintaining Integrity Management Programs (IMP), performing risk assessments, conducting high consequence area (HCA) and class location analysis, completing NPMS/RRC submittals, as well as other integrity related projects. The position will include activities such as:
- Develop and maintain integrity management programs
- Facilitate data transfer with pipeline operators to perform risk analysis, HCA identification, and class location analysis
- Calculate hazard buffers for various product types: gas, liquid, HVL
- Recommend assessment methods that match pipeline threats
- Perform analyses for EFRD valve adequacy and placement
- Maintain assessment schedules
- Plan and execute assessment activities (ILI, pressure test, and/or DA) in accordance with the IMP
- Aid in the development of automated processes and tools
- Perform NPMS/RRC submittals
To be successful in this position, the Pipeline Integrity Engineer should possess the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree
- 2-5 years of engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to perform duties outside of the basic job description and quickly expand skillset into new areas
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Passion to stay informed of industry trends and best practices
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office or similar products
- Knowledge of relational databases and concepts
