OPS will convene a meeting of the Technical Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety Standards Committee (THLPSSC) on Wednesday, August 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. via telephone conference call to request the Committee’s input on the conceptual framework of the OPS five-year research and development program plan as required by Section 12 of the Pipeline Safety Improvement Act of 2002. RSPA/OPS staff will also brief the Committee and request their advice on a possible rule change to the operator qualification standard and on a rulemaking on annual reporting.
